Shipping & Delivery
Shipping Overview
While some of our items ship from our warehouse, others will arrive direct from the supplier. This means that the shipping rates you will see are blended to account for these varying points of origin. Some items may be part of our Cross-Border Shipping program. The carrier of your shipment may vary, and can include Canada Post, FedEx, Purolator, local courier or other third party carriers. Split shipments may be required depending on the number of points of origin of your items. Whenever possible, a signature will be required on delivery to ensure shipments arrive in perfect condition and to give you an opportunity to inspect all items.
Freight Shipping
Generally, there are two ways larger items are shipped. If you are shipping to the Greater Toronto area, a room-of-choice delivery option will be available through a local contractor. Please ensure you are present during the scheduled delivery window to sign for your order and inspect the items.
Outside of the GTA, we use a number of third party freight carriers that typically offer “threshold delivery” – which includes delivery inside the threshold of your home, but not to the room of your choice. These deliveries are made with one driver only, so please ensure you are present during the scheduled delivery window to sign for your order and inspect the items – and that you have help to get your items where they need to go inside of your home.
Regardless of carrier, you will be contacted by the delivery agent by telephone a few days prior to the delivery date to schedule an appointment. These calls will be made during normal business hours only, and will be made by the delivery providers – not us.
Please inspect packaging and items immediately when the delivery arrives, and indicate on the delivery paperwork if there is any damage to your order. If there is severe damage, please refuse delivery at that time to avoid any unnecessary delays processing your return. It is much more difficult for us to process claims for damage or defect if the piece hasn't been inspected for a long time after delivery. If you are having items delivered to storage, don't let a lot of time pass before checking that everything arrived in proper orders.
Uniquely large orders may require special delivery considerations including oversized palletizing or a liftgate truck. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Dropshipping
Certain vendors allow us to dropship their items directly from the vendor warehouse to you. These items will not be inspected by us before they arrive at their destination, so it is imperative that you inspect the shipment upon delivery.
Warehouse Pickup
Most larger items can be picked up from our Mississauga warehouse, located not far from Pearson airport. Pickup times are limited and generally inflexible. Weekend or after-hours pickups from the warehouse are not available. For more information about scheduling a warehouse pickup, please contact us.
In-Store Pickup
Many smaller items can be picked up from our downtown Toronto showroom – check for this delivery option when checking out. Timing and availability depends on availability and transport schedule from the warehouse. Orders in-stock at the store can often be picked up same day, but please wait for our order confirmation before you arrive.
We may on occasion make arrangements for larger items to be picked up from our showroom when space allows and there is no other way for the order to be collected. We reserve the right to offer this service at our discretion.
Lead Times
Most products available for purchase will indicate lead times on their respective product pages. Lead times vary by product type and origin, with some items falling under our Cross-Border Shipping program having extended timelines. Lead times are a best estimate – they are not a firm scheduled arrival date. Given the current trade climate, these estimates can often be in flux. Please be patient – we will at all times give you an honest, truthful estimate and will keep you updated with any changes,
See individual product pages for specific delivery estimates. Out of stock items are currently unavailable for online order - please email, call or visit us in store to place a pre-order for an out of stock item.
Remote Areas
As you may be aware if you do live in a remote area, delivery can at times be more complicated. An additional charge and extended delivery timeline may apply to certain remote locations – in this case, we will make you aware of any such arrangements before confirming your order.
Assembly & Installation
Some items require assembly upon delivery. Whenever available, we have included manufacturer assembly instructions on each product page. Most of these items can be assembled by one or two patient individuals.
Assembly of certain items may be available by our GTA delivery team within our local delivery area for an extra charge – we will give you all the details when confirming your order.
Inspection
It can't be said enough – please inspect all items upon delivery. It becomes much more difficult for us to process claims for damage or defect if a piece has been sitting for months or years before being examined.
