Gigi is playful. Its lines are daring and its tones sensual. Under the breath of the glassblower, the unique shades and tones of the color spread throughout the material. It allows itself to be discovered, to be revealed in alternating opacity and transparency.

Gigi was the result of a professional love affair between Studio d’Armes and Verre d’Onge. This joint project is the alliance of two domains: the mastery of glass and of light, offering quality two-way lighting that fades to warmer shades to create a muted ambience in which it infuses a touch of playfulness, joy and softness.

    Alex Joncas and Gildas Le Bars founded Darmes in 2016 and established their headquarters in Quebec’s Laurentians. Here, Alex Joncas pushes the boundaries of his personal practice, interweaving the studio’s vision with his exploration of form, simplicity and the integration of a collaborative approach to design. Alongside a team of renowned designers and artisans, Alex and Gildas establish a culture of reciprocity and innovative synergy.

    Partners in life as in creation, the designer-manufacturers practice their craft with audacity, honesty and intuition. Their human approach to industrial techniques generates timeless pieces, a testament to their deep respect for materials and their passion for sustainable concepts. In fact, they both promote carbon offsetting for their shipments by favoring 90% local manufacturing.
